Back To School

It's time to go back to school
After hanging around at the mall, where it's cool.
Now we've got to pack our bags and books and all
Oh, how tiring it is to prepare them all.

But we'll see our friends in class again
And we'll run and play, come rain or shine.
Admit it: you missed the smiles and laughter, too
And can't wait for daylight to come soon.

It's a whole new semester
With projects and homework that teachers will run after
It's time to prepare for more exams and tests
Our study desks will definitely be a mess.

Still, we look forward to that day
Of having more time to study, less to play
The day we reunite with friends so cool
The day when we go back to school.
