The American Music Awards is where the best and the brigtest shine. At the 2009 ceremonies, both established and up-and-coming acts strutted their stuff across the stage in front of their peers — although some didn't make it across. Seems like there were more mishaps and mistakes than getting stuck in a roomful of mousetraps.
First, there was Jennifer Lopez's crash-dive on the stage during a particularly high jump that was part of her routine. J.Lo crashed on her Christian Louboutoins while performing her song 'Louboutoin' and the audience got more than an eyeful of things that they never wanted to see. But the talk of the town was Adam Lambert's performance, which involved the flamboyant rocker taking the stage and gyrating in front of the audience, as well as making out with one of the members of his band while the song was playing. But as Adam said in a recent tweet, 'All hail freedom of expression and artistic integrity.'
As part of an entertaining deal, check out this week's Tuesday Ten:
Chinese Screen - A lot of concerned viewers definitely wanted Glambert to cover it up!
Champagne Tower - A toast to the movers and shakers of the music industry.
Rope Divider - Even when they fall, they're separated from the crowd.
The Screaming Furnis - That was definitely a colourful performance.
You can grab the For Your Entertainment deal for just 10 Credits in the Special Offers category in the Catalogue until next week. Just be careful when you run to the Catalogue — you definitely don't want to slip like J.Lo.
And while we can't show you Glambert's performance at the AMAs (we're a General Patronage audience here), here's his first music video, 'Time For Miracles'. Enjoy!
