We all know Lindsey Lohan's not exactly in her best form these days — what with that raunchy magazine photo shoot for Muse, her on-again, off-again relationship with Samantha Ronson, and what about those alleged rumours of hooking up with How I Met Your Mother's Jason Segel? But true to form, when your career's on hold, what's there to do but engage in a bit of philantrophy… or at least what LiLo thought of as such.

The manic celeb Twitterati allegedly tweeted about her mission to India to expose the plight of women and children who were victims of human trafficking. In fact, she tweeted 'Over 40 children saved so far...... Within one day's work...... This is what life is about..... Doing THIS is a life worth living!!! Oh, and I'm talking about being in India' Except that it turns out the only thing Lindsey was probably saving was another trip to the spa. According to the organisation that spearheaded the raid, LiLo was nowhere near the area when the raid happened, and that it actually occured a day before Lindsey and her crew landed in New Delhi. Guess being the next Angelina Jolie isn't exactly in the cards for her.
