This command is a toggle. Enter it once, and it opens the Events listing. Enter it again and it will close the Events listing.

This command sends an Instant Message to a friend. Of course, for this to work, the other Habbo has to be on your Friends List.

E.g. ':im Khairin215 Hello there!' sends the message 'Hello there' to me!

This command opens an Instant Message conversation with the friend you named. Again, for this to work, the other Habbo has to be on your Friends List.

If you do not want to receive an invite from new Habbos, simply leave the Welcoming Party Group.

Members of the Welcoming Party will be one of the first to greet new Habbos! As a member of the Welcoming Party, you'll receive an invitation when a new Habbo asks to meet other Habbos. Accept, and you'll be teleported to wherever the new Habbo is. You could say hi, add them to your friends list, and show them around Habbo - it's really up to you!

The new Habbo gets to meet an experienced Habbo like yourself, and you get karma points and fuzzy feelings for helping out someone new. ;) And you'll both get to make a new friend. ;)

All Habbo users are given a function which allows them to ignore another Habbo user’s speech.

Ignoring may be done any time by clicking the Habbo you wish to ignore, and pushing the "ignore" button.

For example, if another Habbo is singing Elvis songs repeatedly and you really dislike Elvis songs, clicking ignore will allow you to block out the user and their attempts at annoying you with continuous Elvis songs.

Of course, this is a mere example and Habbos can to use the ignore button to block out users who are committing more serious offences.

This is probably because you have been inactive for a while. If you do not move for five minutes your Habbo's eyes close, so that people know that you are not active.

After 15 minutes you are automatically returned to the Hotel View page.

To dance, click on yourself and the 'Choose dance' button will appear under your Habbo on the right-hand side of the screen. Click on the drop down button to get grooving, click it again to stop.

To walk around, click on the floor tile you want to move to and wait. Your Habbo will walk over to it. To sit or lie down, click on the floor tile underneath the seat or bed you want to sit or lie on.

To hide from the world, go to your 'Account Settings', under 'My Preferences' and select 'Nobody' from the Online status. You will be always shown as offline in the Console Friends and Find dialogs.

When you are in a room, type into the box at the bottom of the screen. Then press the return key (or 'enter') to speak.

If you want to whisper to your friend or shout, then select whisper or shout from the pop-up menu on the left. If you are whispering, make sure you click on your Habbo friend too so you are whispering to them, or they won't be able to hear you.

Doorblocking is when your Habbo character stands in the doorway and blocks other Habbos from entering the room.

A room owner is allowed to block their own room door, but any other Habbo caught blocking a door risks being kicked from the room, or banned from the Hotel, so be careful where you leave your Habbo!

To disable this feature, go to your 'Account Settings', under 'My Preferences' and select 'Nobody' to follow you from room to room. You will always be shown as permanently being in the Hotel View instead of the actual room you are in.

The Habbo Way still applies when chatting to your friends. If you use abusive or vulgar language in the Hotel you are likely to get banned. Habbo Hotel has the right to take action against those who are not following our Hotel Rules. We suggest Habbos take responsibility for their experience in the Hotel and turn on the Bobba Filter. However, if someone harasses or offends you, you can call a Moderator for assistance. The filter is not a license to harass or offend others. Be a mature and responsible Habbo guest. :)

Personal information such as e-mail and phone numbers are still filtered, even with filter switched 'off'.

You can switch your filter on and off by editing 'My Preferences', found on your Account Settings page. With the filter switched 'off' you are able to view other peoples' unfiltered conversations. Switching the filter 'on' will change all words in our word filter to 'bobba'. Tick this box to see unfiltered chat.

Be nice when you order your food from the waiters and you'll be served. Your Habbo will automatically drink on its own when thirsty. All the food and drinks served are completely free of charge, compliments of Habbo Hotel.

Habbo Hotel doesn't employ Habbos, however, you can apply to be a volunteer expert player called the Habbo X, but this isn't a job.

Some Habbos offer jobs in their Guest rooms, but they may lie to you and say that they will pay you furni when they won't, our advise is don't work for another Habbo unless you are willing to do it for free.

To wave, click on yourself and the wave button will appear under your Habbo on the right-hand side of the screen. Click on the button and your Habbo will begin waving to all your friends.

It's a clever way for you to jump to the same location as your friends. Open your friends list, and click the icon with a green arrow in it. You'll jump straight to your friend's location in the Hotel!
The only places you can't go to are locked or password-protected rooms. Just bear in mind that this also means that anyone on your friends list can jump to where you are - so think carefully who you add as a friend!
If you don't see the green arrow beside your friend's name, your friend has disabled 'Follow a Friend'.

Friend requests can now be sent from Habbo Home pages. to enable/disable this feature, click on 'Account Settings' and then 'My Preferences'. You can then check or un-check 'Friend requests enabled?'.

All pending requests are shown in your friends list. You can reject requests by clicking the red X beside the Habbo's name. To reject all pending friend requests, click the red X beside 'Dismiss all'.

No, you don't. Your Ignore preferences are saved. Even if you leave a room or log out of Habbo, you'll still ignore that Habbo until you switch it off.

Search for a Habbo from the Habbo homepage. Click the green + icon beside their name to send a friend request.

If you're in the same room as a Habbo who's sending a friend request, their friend request will now pop up immediately in a bubble. Accept or decline? It's your choice.

If you're lucky enough to be flooded with friend requests and want a break, you can always choose under your Account Settings preferences not to accept friend requests. ;)

If you are being ignored then the user(s) that decided to ignore you will not be able to see any of your speech bubbles until the time they decide to stop ignoring you.

The Habbo Way **does** state that you should not pester people who don't want to talk to you and therefore if you believe you are being ignored by another user you should leave them be and find someone else to talk to instead.

This can be done at anytime simply by clicking the user you are already ignoring and selecting the option "Unignore".

When you ignore a Habbo, it remains forever, even if the Habbo goes to another room or logs out of the Hotel and back in again.

You can ignore any user within Habbo, EXCEPT for the following:
- The owner of a Guest Room.
- An ON duty Moderator.
- An ON duty Habbo Staff member.

Note - A Moderator or Habbo staff will be on duty if they have their Staff badge switched on.

You have the option to ignore any user that you do not wish to speak with. If another user is annoying, pestering or upsetting you – all you need do is click your trusty “ignore” button to withhold their speech from reaching your screen.

You should always call for help if someone has broken the Habbo way rather than just ignoring them, but if they continue to break the Habbo way *after* you've called for help, you should use the ignore button until a Moderator arrives.
