Use the Call For Help button and report them to a moderator, and then leave the room.

Why is there a Habbo Way?

The Habbo Way was created to ensure that Habbo Hotel is a safe, non-threatening environment where players can come and relax, hang out, and make new friends without feeling threatened or bullied.

Why am I banned?

You will always be given a reason if you are banned from the Hotel. Habbo uses standardised bans to be fair to all players. Here are the different ban categories that we use, depending on the offence. We have also provided examples to illustrate each category.

Vulgarity includes:
Unacceptable room names or behavior in rooms; unacceptable Habbo names; offensive discussions or unacceptable ASCII art. Usually these bans last for 2 hours. If it's a repeated ban or if a Habbo uses extreme vulgarity, the ban can extend to 7 days or more. In extreme instances, Habbos will be permanently banned.

Sexually Explicit Behaviour includes:
Cybersex; soliciting or participating in cybersex or lapdances; exchanging Furni for cybersex; discussion about sexual acts, etc. This ban is usually 2 hours in length. If there is repeated behavior, the bans will increase incrementally. Severe acts will be permanently banned. This includes advertising or promoting prostitution, role-playing cyber-rape, giving out porn URLs, offering or asking for pornographic pictures.

Harassment includes:
Bullying; sexual harassment; multiple rooms created to harass another member; cloning a Habbo's name to harass; yelling out loud about another Habbo in a room; spreading rumours about a Habbo, creating any Habbo name to harass another player, etc. This is usually a 2 hour ban, but may be extended if the Habbo repeatedly harasses other Habbos.

Disruption includes:
Flooding; attempting to disconnect another player; flood advertising; blocking doors or teleporters; repeated attempts to trade against another player's will; disrupting an ongoing game in any guest room; abusing the Call for Help tool, etc. This is usually a 2 hour ban.

Hate Speech includes:
Racial slurs; gender slander; hate speeches, etc. This is usually a 2 hour ban. Habbo does not tolerate hate speech, and believe it to be completely unacceptable behaviour.

T & C violation includes:
Promoting the use of illegal drugs; password phishing; scripting; keylogging; using third party software to disrupt the programming of the Hotel; discussion about illegal activities; violent roleplaying; making death threats; making bomb threats; disclosing or sharing or posting confidential Sulake information on the web or via email or any electronic or printed form as per our Terms and Conditions agreement, etc. These bans are often permanent bans.

Personal Identifying Information includes:
Asking for, receiving, or giving out ANY information that might personally identify a player (including yourself; another player; any Sulake staff member, or; any family member of a Sulake staff member). Examples of this webcam offers or requests; names of schools, Paypal account names, home or mailing addresses; photos; full names, etc. Habbo names that are created using phone numbers or IC numbers will also be permanently banned. Habbos arranging to meet in real life will also be banned.

Scamming includes:
Offering free Credits in exchange for the following: Furni, Habbo accounts, IM passwords, email passwords, or any kind of information pertaining to another Habbo's account; asking for another Habbo's password, impersonating as a Sulake staff member, etc. This can also include advertising or promoting scam site URLs or links; selling, trading, or lending Habbo accounts in exchange for cash; selling Furni for cash; and accessing another Habbo's account and taking away their Furni. This is considered stealing and will result in a permanent ban.

Game Scamming includes:
Artificially inflating Wobble Squabble scores; leaving a game without giving out prizes; cloning in Falling Furni or other guest room games; hosting FF games without owning a piece of Furni, etc. will result in a ban. Stealing furni by tricking Habbos into playing games and then kicking them or by disappearing after they've paid to stay (P2S)usually results in a permanent ban.

Fraud includes:
Credit Card fraud, SMS text fraud, or any type of Credits fraud. If you're found guilty of fraud, you'll receive a permanent ban.

On rare occasions, we can offer Habbos a name change if the name they selected comes up as 'bobba'. Please use the Habbo Help Tool and request for a name change.

Please remember that we don't transfer furni from a banned account to another account that you make.

If you still have questions about your ban, please write to us via the Habbo Help Tool and one of our Player Support team members will help you with your inquiry.

Am I allowed to use a special program to alter things in the hotel?

No, because these programs change the code that is sent from your computer to the Habbo Hotel servers. This is expressly forbidden in our Terms and Conditions. Any Habbo using such programs will be banned permanently and his/her details may be passed on to the police.

This applies to any changes you make to your Habbo character, to guest rooms and to items of furniture.

Why is my child banned from entering the Hotel?

If your child has been banned, it is likely because they did something that goes against the Habbo Way. Most of our bans only last for 2 hours.

However, if your child cannot get in after 2 hours, it's possible that they've broken the Hotel rules in a more serious manner. If you would like to inquire about your child's ban, please write to Contact Us.

Why do my words come up as 'bobba'?

Habbo Hotel has a word filter system that replaces all offensive words with 'bobba'. This includes swearing, racist or sexist words, as well as email addresses and phone numbers.

The Bobba Filter works on Habbo names, missions, Instant Messaging, Mini-Mail, and Stickies as well.
