Why can't I trade in some rooms?

You can't trade in public rooms and you can only trade in guest rooms that have been placed in one of the following categories:
* Trading Rooms
* Game Rooms

Do I have to trade?

No, trading is optional. If anyone is trying to force you to trade with them, click the blue ? in the bottom right of your Habbo window to report them to a Moderator, and then leave the room.

Can I get free furni by trading?

Habbos will often claim they can double your furni if you trade it to them. This is a lie and they are trying to steal your furni. If someone tries this, click the blue ? in the bottom right of your Habbo window to report them to an on-duty Moderator, then leave the room.

Can someone double/triple my furni by trading me?

No, they are trying to steal your furni. Click the blue ? to report them to a Moderator, and then leave the room.

What are items worth?

There is no guide to what items of furni are worth. They're worth whatever you're willing to accept or pay for them.

Can I trade in public rooms?

No, you can only trade in guest rooms.

What are coins, money bags, and gold bars for?

Coins, money bags, and gold bars are Credit furni of different values. Use your Credits to buy these furni items from the Habbo Exchange.

You can trade these furni items with other Habbos for other furni. They can be put into trading boxes. You can also redeem Credit furni later and convert them back to Credits in your Purse by double-clicking them.

How do I trade using the trading box?

Habbo has a secure trading system. You can trade items without fear of them being stolen. To trade with another Habbo, click on them. A 'trade' button will appear under their name at the bottom right of the Habbo window.

1. Go to a Room that has Trading enabled (Trading or Game rooms).
2. Verbally agree on what you are trading with the other party.
3. Open a Trading Box.
4. Put in your item to trade (but do not click "I Agree" yet).
5. Let the other party put in his or her item to trade.
6. When you are both satisfied with the items to be traded, click "Accept".
7. After a couple of seconds, the 'Confirm' button becomes clickable. Check again to be sure you're happy with the trade. Click the 'Confirm' button.
8. And viola! safe trade completed.

What furni cannot be traded?

You can't trade accounts, game tickets, pets, Traxmachines, Jukeboxes, Hello furni, or presents.

I don't like these new trading rules. Why have they been introduced?

32% of Habbos feel that they have been scammed by other users while trading in Habbo. We in Habbo are always against scamming of any kind. These new rules enforce a new and safer way of trading.

The other Habbo has disabled trading. Can I still give them a piece of furni?

Yes, you can, but remember, it's considered a gift. They can't give you anything back.

Can I still receive gifts even if I cannot trade?

Yes, you can.

How do I know if my, or another user's, security settings allow trading?

You'll see the slightly-altered trading window when you try to trade. If trading is disabled on your, or the other Habbo's account, you'll see alert messages that tell you so.

What if trading is disabled on my account while I'm trading?

The trade will be cancelled and you will immediately be unable to trade.

How has the trade box changed?

Now both traders need to approve the trade by checking the 'Accept' check box. There's also an additional step that allows you to re-confirm the trade. If either Habbo cancels the trade before both click 'Confirm', the whole trade will be cancelled.

Why does it take 24 hours to enable trading?

This is a security measure. If you accidentally allow someone access to your account, and have trading enabled, you can log in and disable it immediately. In the case of theft, you have a better chance of saving your furni.

Please remember however that you are still responsible for the security of your account. These changes to trading are enhancements to the security of your Habbo account, but only you can guarantee its safety.

Can I enable or disable trading?

Yes, you can, but please remember that when you enable trading, it takes effect 48 hours after you make the change to your settings.

Where can I edit my security settings?

Go to your Security Settings in your Account Settings.

I signed out and back in, and still I can't trade. What's wrong?

Most likely trading is disabled in your account's security settings.

I've met the criteria for trading, and still I can't trade. What's wrong?

Trading is enabled the first time you log in after you meet the requirements. Sign out and sign back in.

I haven't received the verification email, and it's been quite a while since I requested it. What's wrong?

If you're using certain free email services, such as Hotmail, it may take as long as a day to receive emails from other web services like Habbo. Please be patient.

I just got my trading pass. Do I need to do anything else?

No. Once you get your trading pass, you don't need to do anything else. Trading is automatically switched on. As always, you can only trade in guest rooms on a trading floor.

How can I get the Trading Pass?

You have to fulfill the following criteria:
1) You must have verified your email. Verify your email »
2) Enable your trading pass
3) Your Habbo must be at least 3 days old.
4) You must have been online for at least 3 hour since the beginning of February 2009.

I used to be able to trade and suddenly I'm not. What's wrong?

Most likely you do not have the Trader's Pass and are therefore not eligible to trade, according to the new trading rules.
