What is the Habbo Instant Messenger?

The Habbo Instant Messenger allows you to keep in contact with any online Habbo that you have added to your friend list. You can then have an instant chat with them, no matter where they are inside the hotel. You can only use the Habbo Instant Messenger inside the hotel.

How do I send a Habbo Instant Message?

The Habbo you want to Instant Message must be online, and on your friend list. To send an Instant Message to your friend, click on the speech bubble icon next to their name in your Friend List.

How do I handle inappropriate Instant Messages?

Instant Messages pass through filters which remove inappropriate language and automatically alert Moderators to unsafe behaviour. If you don't wish to receive any further Instant Messages from a particular Habbo, click their name in your Friends List and click the red X at the bottom right of your console screen.

Can I have multiple Instant Message chats?

Yes. Start new Instant Message conversations by clicking on the speech bubble next to another person in your Friend List. This creates a new tab in your IM window, enabling you to swap back and forth between multiple chats.

How do I invite my friends to a game I'm hosting? How do I advertise my trading?

Open your friends list. Select friends who are online (their names will be highlighted in blue) and click on the room icon on the bottom of the friend list.
Write your invitation in the invitation window and click 'Send'.

Can I create a group Instant Message?

Currently, you cannot create a group Instant Message where multiple friends can take part in the same conversation. Why not chat in your guest room instead?

Can I send a mass message to everyone on my Friends List?

Habbo's Instant Messenger doesn't allow mass messaging because spamming is bad mmmkay! 'My Messages' allows you to send a message to a maximum of 50 people on your Friend List at a time. However, you can send an invitation to friends that you select from the friend list.
