Not sure how to navigate the bowels of the Marketplace? Here's a handy-dandy guide to help you!
The Marketplace is a convenient way to buy and sell furni that might not necessarily be on sale in the Catalogue. You can list items for sale for up to 48 hours and check back to see if they've been sold.
To use the Marketplace you'll need a Trading Pass. You fulfill the requirements for the Trading Pass if:
- Your email address is verified.
- Your account is at least 3 days old.
- You've been in Habbo for at least 3 hours after creating your account.
Also, you can't post items in the Marketplace if you don't have any Credits in your Purse, even if you still have Marketplace Tokens. This is a glitch, and we're working to fix it as soon as possible.
You can sell any tradeable item by highlighting it in your Inventory and clicking on the 'Sell in Marketplace' button. You can put up 5 items for sale at the cost of 1 Credit.
Remember: You can only sell items which are not currently for sale in the main Catalogue.
The Catalogue has a Marketplace category which lists all the items currently for sale by other Habbos. If there are several items of the same type for sale at different prices, you will always pay the lowest price advertised.
As a seller it will cost you 1 credit for every 5 items you post for sale, and you get to define exactly how many credits you want to receive when the item is sold. The actual sale price of the item is the price you've defined, plus 1% sales commission (minimum of 1 credit).
As a buyer, you will pay the tax of 1% of the sale price, rounded to the nearest full credit. In the catalogue you'll see the exact price you're paying. The tax is added automatically so you don't have to be concerned about the tax at any point.
Yes, indeed! Trading items with other players is unchanged. Marketplace simply allows you to sell items for Credits without the risk of being scammed.
To see if you have items which have sold, open the Catalogue, click on the Marketplace tab, and look under My Offers. All the items you're currently selling will be listed there.
If your item has not sold, you will find a notice under the My Offers tab in the Marketplace area of the Catalogue. You can redeem your item from there and, if you want, try selling it again.
Once one of your items has been sold in the Marketplace you cannot get it back. That's the way the world works. No refunds, no exchanges.
Yes; you can cancel an ad by opening the 'My Offers' page in the Catalogue and then clicking the 'Take back' button beside your items. If you cancel an ad you do not get your Token back.
