No, because these programs change the code that is sent from your computer to the Habbo Hotel servers. This is expressly forbidden in our Terms and Conditions. Any Habbo using such programs will be banned permanently and his/her details may be passed on to the police.

This applies to any changes you make to your Habbo character, to guest rooms and to items of furniture.

You can open the On-screen Keyboard on Windows computers by clicking the Start button. Then click Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > On-Screen Keyboard.

It's a secure way of typing in your password and other secret details without anyone finding out! Pretty cool, huh?

If you are using a laptop or can't do alts with your keyboard, here's a way you can! Only works on Windows PCs.

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > On-Screen Keyboard.

Once you click On-Screen Keyboard, a new window should pop-up. It looks like a normal, full keyboard. Now, click the ALT button once, and let go. Then use the number pad to type in the code for the ALT. Click the same ALT button again to let go, and viola, your alt should appear!

As a non-Habbo Club member, you can have up to 200 friends in your list. As a Habbo Club member, you can have 600 friends on your Friends List.

Both public rooms are only available for our Habbo Club members. We have many other public rooms made available for non-Habbo Club members.

The extra 3 special dances are for Habbo Club members.

If your name comes up as 'bobba' when spoken in the Hotel, write in at the Habbo Help Tool and ask us for a name change if you have furniture in your account.

Make sure you tell us the new name that you would like to replace it with. Don't create another account with the new name, or we won't be able to change your name!

The hotel is closed from 3am-7am daily, even for weekends & public holidays. However, we'll still be open 24 hours during the school holidays.

Yes, but read carefully. There are two issues here, gambling and trademark. Here are our guidelines.

- For games of pure chance, don't give furni prizes or demand furni to play. You can of course be creative in giving recognition to the winner.

- You can give furni prizes or ask for furni to play where the game has an element of skill. For example, trivia, a head for math, super fast mouse clicking abilities.

- Where furni is given out as prizes, there must only be one winner who had the best abilities.

- Please don't demand credits or cash for games

- You can call your room casino, bingo, mahjong or whatever game you want as long as no gambling (games of cards or chance for money) actually takes place there.

- Real world names that are trademarked or imply gambling are of course not allowed. For example, Singapore Pools, Turf Club, 4D, Betting Room, Gambling Den.

To take a screen shot on Habbo simply hold down 'Ctrl' & 'Print Screen', then open any paint program and press 'Ctrl' & 'V' to paste the image.

The Habbo of the Month Awards honours the contributions of active Habbo citizens. Habbo Points are awarded for every win in a Staff organised competition or game. Points are also awarded for published news contributions and calendar events.

Points are tallied in the Habbo Points Chart. At the end of every month, the Habbo with the most points will be our Habbo of the Month.

The Habbo with the most points each month wins:

- The right to wear a special Gold Habbo of the Month Badge
- 20 Credits
- Membership to the exclusive Habbo of the Month group and name in the Habbo of the Month Hall of Fame
- The 1st runner-up Habbo will get to wear a Silver Habbo of the Month Badge.
- Every other Habbo who earns at least 3 Points within a month will earn a permanent Bronze Habbo of the Month Badge.

For those who're looking for something to do, it's the Events listing to the rescue! Whether you're looking for a game, a trading room to get that last elusive rare, or just a party, there's something for everyone.

Better yet, you can host your own event and advertise it to all of Habbo!

Here's how:
1. Go to your room. Open the event list (click the red icon with all the tiny Habbos on it), and click the 'Host an event' button.
2. Choose a category for your event. Type in your event title and description.
3. Click 'Create'.

Your event will now show up on the Events listing on the website, as well as under the Events button in the game. There'll also be a link to your room so Habbos can jump right in.

Good to Know
* You can only host an event in an open room. If you're in a passworded or doorbelled room, the 'Host an Event' button will be greyed-out.
* Once you leave your room, your event will end. If you leave your room accidentally, and wish to continue your event, you'll have to re-list it.

When Habbo first launched, the average screen resolution of the average Internet user was 800x600. We therefore sized the Habbo window to match. Times have changed, and the average screen resolution has grown, leaving good screen space all unused! So we jumped on the hi-tech bandwagon and widened Habbo. It makes all the big public rooms look even more gorgeous and adds more screen space for our new shiny features!
Not only is seeing more Habbo much more fun, but the extra space on the right hand side of your screen acts as a very handy docking area. Put your Habbo Instant Messenger window, Catalogue, Navigator or Purse into this area instead of covering up the conversation that's going on inside the room you are visiting!

The widescreen Habbo window will not appear if you are using a monitor with a 800 x 600 screen resolution.

Just type :news in your chat console and the News Feed will reappear.
